Hi, I'm Tracy Buchanan, bestselling author of psychological thrillers, romances and women's fiction novels such as Wall of Silence, My Sister’s Secret and the Dr. Vanessa Marwood series. And because I like to challenge myself, my romance series will be publishing in 2026 around the world with some top publishers, so that's super exciting.

As the founder of Savvy Writers—a supportive platform for published and aspiring authors—I’m passionate about guiding writers through the exhilarating and sometimes daunting journey of writing and publishing.

I’ve been through it all — pre-empt deals, six-figure deals, bestseller highs, track wobbles, rejections and more rejections, bad sales, the lot. I've had books published around the world with publishers ranging from HarperCollins, Hachette and Random House to Bookouture and Amazon Publishing. Several of my books have been bestsellers and my latest romance novel secured deals around the world, including a six figure deal with Random House, and my latest crime series was bought at auction by Bonnier Books.  Through Savvy Writers, I've also cultivated a community that offers support and resources to writers at all stages of their careers.

What I offer...

Monthly Mentoring Package – £150/session (monthly advised for accountability but not essential)

• One 30-minute Zoom session: We'll discuss your writing progress, brainstorm ideas, and tackle any challenges you're facing. 

• Feedback during this session as notes beforehand on up to 5,000 words: Submit sections of your manuscript ahead of our session, and I'll provide constructive feedback focusing on narrative structure, character development and pacing

• Email support: Reach out with questions or for encouragement between sessions.

• Become a 'paid member' of my Savvy Writers Substack offering a bunch of advice for author... all for FREE.

• Discounts for my in-person retreats.

• A cheerleader when you do get published... I'll basically shout about your book from the rooftops!
