Mentoring for Authors
Writing a novel is hard. Publishing it is harder. I’ve been through it all — pre-empt deals, six-figure deals, bestseller highs, track wobbles, rejections and more rejections, bad sales, the lot. I've had books published around the world with publishers ranging from HarperCollins, Hachette and Random House to Bookouture and Amazon Publishing. Several of my books have been bestsellers and my latest romance novel secured deals around the world, including a six figure deal with Random House, and my latest crime series was bought at auction by Bonnier Books. I now mentor a small number of authors each month who want honest, expert guidance without the fluff. Many of the authors I mentor work with me for accountability: basically making sure they write a decent chunk each month because that's what I ask for before our sessions (always flexible though so don't worry, I let you off if it's a tough month!). But also for that all-important commercial advice.
